Excel Esports is a leading UK-based competitive video gaming organisation that competes in the premier European esports competition, Riot Games’ League of Legends European Championship (LEC). Excel was established in 2014 and serves to enable its playing staff to compete at the highest level in global esports. The Role:

In this role, you will support the Managing Director and leadership team in driving revenues through commercial partnerships. You will have the ability to proactively source, manage and finalise partnerships with both endemic and non-endemic brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Excel are looking for a candidate who can work autonomously and prepare exciting and creative proposals to attract new partners. Candidate must be proactive and thorough to research and identify all suitable brands & categories who may benefit from a partnership with Excel.  They must possess the interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, understand their objectives and create packages which are mutual beneficial.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar role at a traditional sports/entertainment rights holder or agency looking to transfer your skills to esports.

  • Exposure across both the acquisition and activation of partnerships.

  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals

  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales metrics

  • Strong telephone sales skills, engaging clients, making leads happen

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to build rapport with clients

  • Experience of managing pipelines and databases

  • A good contact and network base

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft CRM
