Returning to the Rift - League of Legends Roster Announcement

19th June 2017

With the 2017 League of Legends summer season getting underway, it’s with great pride and excitement that we announce our new roster:

Shikari and Innaxe are no strangers to the highest level of UK League of Legends. With Team XENEX they topped the regular season standings in the ESL UK Premiership in spring of this year, before narrowly missing out to powerhouse MnM Gaming in the grand finals. Danish jungler Taxer comes to us having experienced the Spanish League of Legends scene with NeverBack Gaming and has competed at Copenhagen Grounds, while Dutch midlaner Kruimel has experience of Challenger Series Qualifiers with Millenium. The team will be captained by UK veteran and exceL stalwart Aux, who needs no introduction. He had this to say about the new roster:

"We're bringing a couple of new faces to the scene, and a few veterans who've had solid results in the past but haven't quite managed to reach first place. We're confident we have the talent and supporting staff to change that this split."

The players will once again be coached by the talented Doruk “Doruk” Haciolgu, with assistance from team analyst Luciana 'AngelArcher' Nadrag. The team is managed by Matt “Crolux” McClenaghan with assistance from Ryan 'Barnetto' Barnett. Commenting on the acquisition of this latest roster, exceL's Managing Director Joel Holmes-Darby stated that:

"I'm really pleased with this new roster and cannot wait to support them through the upcoming UKMasters and ESLUK competitions. Our staff team have worked tirelessly behind the scenes through trials and recruitment and they've done a superb job of pulling together a group of talented guys who possess the right level of motivation and ambition. I look forward to getting to know them more closely as the season unfolds."

The first order of business for the players will be the UK Masters, with our boys opening the competition versus Barrage tonight. It promises to be another split of big plays and thrilling action, as eight teams battle to make the offline Grand Finals at Insomnia61.
