Halo: Joining the Pro League

30th May 2017

After a brief hiatus from the competitive Halo community, we are incredibly excited to be able to announce our triumphant return to the top of the game and the HCS pro league to compete for $30,000. The team consists of some of the best talent in Europe having previously qualified for the professional leagues with varying results and contains two players who placed 4th in the qualifiers for the Halo World Championships in February 2017.

We would like to give a very warm welcome to:

Coach J, having previously coached Zhuh and Morguhhh to their 4th place finish in the HWC qualifier, will be assisting the team in their HCS league journey with the first game taking place on June 1st. The team are hoping to secure a T4 finish as a minimum in the league in order to secure their place at Dreamhack Atlanta in July. When asked why they wanted to join exceL, team captain Zhuh said that;

“exceL were at the top of our list to join because they were previously involved at the top of the Halo competitive scene and are highly regarded by all players who have played under them.”

Commenting on the decision to pick up the team, exceL's resident Halo Manager and ex-Coach Leuis 'Prsma' Charles had this to say:

"We've been looking for a way back in to the Halo esports scene for a while ever since the HaloWC qualifier earlier this year in Wembley, hosted by Gfinity. This team was the perfect combination of experience and raw talent and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with them and support them through the upcoming ESL Halo pro league split."

We are excited to return to the Halo community, by the team and by what is in store for them and ourselves as an organisation going forward together and cannot wait for the league to get underway. Our first match-day is against Team Infused on Thursday 1st June at 21:00. If you want to catch the team in action, pay close attention to our social media channels where we will keep you updated on when the team are playing and how to watch them. Also do not forget to show the team your support by following them on Twitter!
