CoD: A Short-Lived Return

4th January 2017

We would like to officially announce the departure of the exceL eSports Call of Duty roster.  This is a development which has taken us all completely by surprise, as we had gone into the holiday period having worked hard to agree initial terms in principle for the entire roster to compete for the exceL organisation from the start of 2017. However, unknown to the organisation and before those contracts could be formally signed following the holidays, Connor ‘Weeman’ Chilton took the decision to join a different team, as yet without a known organisation.

This has led to two more players, Brad ‘endurAAA’ Hughes and Sam ‘SamB’ Baker, being approached by another unknown organisation, whom they have decided to join. Sadly, this leaves Bob ‘BoabyCee’ Currie without a team. This short-lived re-entry to the Call of Duty scene is disappointing for all of us at exceL eSports, where we had high hopes of success with this roster. Sadly, these developments mean that there are now very few opportunities to remain involved in the EU Call of Duty scene at this given time.

Despite this, we would like to reassure all that we remain deeply committed to competitive Call of Duty and will be actively and continually seeking to return at the earliest opportunity. We would like to thank the team for their efforts during their short tenure under exceL eSports and we wish them the best of luck in their future careers in Call of Duty eSports.
